Sketch

Vector drawing for OS X

Version 1.3

OS X 10.6+ Required

Infinite possibilities

The most important part of any drawing application is arguably the drawing area, so we've just made Sketch contain one big and infinitely large view with no palettes to be seen. That doesn't mean we've compromised on the tools though.

Tools with Vector Flexibility

Sketch is a true vector editing application and has many powerful tools to manipulate those vectors.

The tools you want

Sketch has boolean operations that fully preserve your carefully constructed vectors down the individual curves. For optimal flexibility we have something unique; dynamic boolean on groups of vectors. But there is more; Sketch has distortion tools as well as transformations, scissors and your truly innovative Smart Rotate which makes consecutive rotations truly easy and intuitive.

Basics

The vector tool itself is intuitive and easy to use and our pen tool is an excellent starting point that produces really smooth curves.

Tools for Design

Sketch has indispensable tools for any designer. Slices, text styles, rulers, guides and grids are just some of them.

Export parts of the page

You can define an unlimited number of slices per page and export them all at once. Sketch is very flexible and easy, we promise you'll find this feature very useful.

Rulers, Guides and Grids

Sketch has Rulers, Guides and Grids to support you in laying out your design exactly as you want it. Sketch even automatically measures the distance between different layers to make it easy to precisely layout individual elements.

Text styles across pages

Another nice trick for web designers are Text Styles. If you decide you want to use a different font in multiple places, Text Styles will help you with this.

Effects required

To style elements exactly the way you want is easy in Sketch. Chances are the effects you seek are available in Sketch. (Dashed) Gradient Strokes, Elliptical Gradient or Pattern Fills, and (Inner) Shadow and more are all available in Sketch on any object.

Multiple pages and Symbols

Your sketches might not be contained to one page and you might even want to share elements between them.

Multiple Pages

All your scriblings can now be in one document, because that's what would make sense; one document and multiple pages. This makes it easy to share with other people as everything is in one place.

Reuse with Symbols

When you're designing a website, you will find you'll want to reuse certain elements a lot; headers, footers and buttons to name a few. Wouldn't it be perfect if there was a single source to edit, and instantly all the others would update? Sketch lets you do this - between multiple pages - with grace and ease.

Requirements

Sketch requires Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or higher. You can try Sketch for free for 15 days before buying to see whether it fits your needs.
