SketchPad in the App Store

The iPad has now been out for a few days and so has SketchPad.
Initial reaction has been positive, but reserved. It’s easy to get lost completely in the app store and that’s obviously what happened here.

Of course the iPad launch was US only and since I live in the UK I was out of luck. Luckily a friend was kind enough to send me one and I received it on Wednesday. The iPad itself is of course fantastic and I was curious to try out SketchPad as soon as possible.

Today I was finally victorious over XCode and managed to get it loaded up on the iPad through the debugger. SketchPad currently has no multitouch support since that was obviously impossible to test. I have been working hard though today and things are getting a lot better. I’ll post more news soon but I can promise that SketchPad will receive a good deal of updates in the future.

The product page has been updated with a link to the App Store, so please take a look at the sketchpad page.

Help! I need a owners manual for Sketchpad? Where is it?

Pieter Omvlee

There is no manual available at this time, but I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have by email. We should have a manual for Sketch in a future version of SketchPad though.
