Fontcase plugins

When we transitioned to our new website design, for some reasons the Fontcase pages explaining how to create plugins were forgotten. An attentive customer pointed our attention to it and now they’re back – restyled a bit to fit the new design of course.

They can still be found at: fontcase/plugins all the way at the bottom. There is a tutorial, a few examples and a header files and database schemes available to aid you. You can also still get a free license key when you write a plugin for Fontcase.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or run into problems. Any suggestions on how to improve are also more than welcome.

Dear Mr. Omvlee!
I use a copy of Fontcase (under OSX 10.6.3) about a week because I like it’s interface much more than Fontexplorer’s. So far it works well for me, but I recognized a problem with printing pdf’s (from the OSX-printing-dialog): almost every time the program hangs after creating several pages, I must force-quit it. It seems, that specific fonts cause this behaviour, because the program hangs always at the same page of a collection. Before I imported my fonts, I checked them, they were all ok – so I have no explanation, why it could happen. Do you know about this problem?
Best regards, Martin Koppenwallner

Sorry – I did not recognize, that’s the wrong section for my problem…

No problem, we can deal with these issues here as well. Probably the Console.app will display any errors that are occurring. I think it’s a matter of missing metadata about the fonts that confuses Fontcase.
Could you let me know what Console.app is saying?
