About Bohemian Coding
Although I use the plural everywhere when I talk about Bohemian Coding, there's only one person in this company. Bohemian Coding was founded early 2008 in the Netherlands and is being run by Pieter Omvlee. We develop a number of great (at least in our opinion) shareware applications for Mac OS X and have many things planned for the future.
Bohemian Coding, what about the name?
It's a strange name for a company, I know. There's no interesting story behind it unfortunately. I had been searching for a name for my company for a long time. I wanted something out of the ordinary and this name came to me at one time and it sort of stayed there. If you really want an explanation, I have a nice quote for you:
“The term 'Bohemian' has come to be very commonly accepted in our day as the description of a certain kind of literary gypsy, no matter in what language he speaks, or what city he inhabits .... A Bohemian is simply an artist or littérateur who, consciously or unconsciously, secedes from conventionality in life and in art.” — (Westminster Review, 1862)
